Blackjack is the only casino game an amateur can learn to play and at which he can definitely win.

How to win money at casino? Well, the only sure fire way that I am aware of is through Lady Luck.
Listen, casinos are huge business. The last time you went down to Las Vegas or Macau did you see the opulence? Yeah, that was thanks to folks like you and me giving the casinos our money over time.
I’m not saying that it isn’t possible to be a successful long term gambler but you’ve gotta know what you’re doing and you’ve gotta treat it like a profession.
If you’re serious about beating the casino at their own games you’ve gotta be diligent, smart and educated. My short article on a simple Black Jack strategy is not going to cut it. I recommend starting with these 3 books depending on your games of choice. Blackjack Bluebook II, Forever Craps and Decide to Play Great Poker.
These 3 casino games, Blackjack or 21, craps and poker are in my opinion the most likely to offer you an advantage if you learn appropriate strategies and use focused discipline. There might be other games that you can manipulate to give you a players advantage but these are the 3 most popular games and good places to start if you want to win money at the casino.
Here is a basic strategy that you can use to learn how to win at Blackjack. It is not guaranteed at all, but with the game of twenty one or Blackjack, the casino only starts out with a small advantage of 0.5% to 1%, so if you learn from this basic strategy and study the books above as well as practice you can turn that advantage into a 1% to 2% for yourself.
Here are 4 ways to improve your Blackjack game and to start learning simple Blackjack strategy.
1. If the dealer’s up card is showing you a 7 or higher then you should continue to draw more cards until you have either a hard 17 or soft 18. A hard card is one where the ace is counted as a 1 or your hand carries no aces. The soft hand conversely is where you have an ace and the ace is counted as 11.
2. On the other hand, if the dealer is showing you a 6 or lower then you should continue drawing cards until you have 12 or higher.
3. If the dealer is showing you 9 and your first two cards equal 10 or 11 only, then you should double down. What doubling down means is that you can double your original bet once you’ve seen your first two cards. Doubling down also means you will only receive one more card and that’s it.
4. A reliable strategy for splitting suggests that you always split your aces and eights but that you don’t split any other pairs. This gives you the greatest odds of having a good hand in at least one of them. Splitting obviously means that you end up playing 2 hands during that round of Blackjack.
The above are just some simple Blackjack tips to help you get started.
You should throughly learn how to play 21 as well as the many Blackjack betting strategies out there. The books recommended at the beginning will help you with that. If you want to learn how to win at craps or how to win at poker the books above will help with that too.
However, let me make something perfectly clear. Learning how to win at Vegas or other casinos is not guaranteed.
In fact, it will take a long time to perfect a system or strategy that you can rely on to consistently win money at Blackjack or poker or craps. It will take a lot of determination, skill, knowledge and grinding it out. Gambling and playing casino games should be done for fun with money you are prepared to lose.
If you have a problem with gambling then you should by no means play any casino games whatsoever and in fact you’d do well to seek help for your gambling addiction. Otherwise, treat it as a fun endeavour and a way to make some money slowly over time if you get good at Blackjack or poker or craps.
